In 2019, I earned a Design for Social Impact Certificate from the Stanford d.school. This experience propelled my design work at Denver Public Schools. I was able to use human-centered design principles to develop a physical activity website for teachers, co-design teacher training e-learning materials and work to shape sex education policy and programs for the entire district of over 200 schools. Stanford requested to feature my work for their program case study library. Since the case study was written, I have been featured as a guest presenter for the past 3 years in the current Design for Social Impact Certificate course. This project is one of the highlights of my career and it’s been a pleasure to work alongside Stanford over the last few years to feature the project and to continue to learn from the expertise at the d.school.
