In 2018, I became an avid gravel biker in Colorado. After a few harrowing experiences getting lost in the woods, I saw a clear need for more detailed guidance on Colorado’s gravel routes—especially resources tailored to women. Seven years later, that insight has grown into a personal website featuring over 200 curated routes, a community of more than 25,000 Instagram followers, and several key ongoing partnerships. By applying a design thinking approach—even to a passion project—I built a widely used resource for both beginner and expert bikers across the state. The website has gone through several iterations, evolving from a personal blog to a no-code Webflow site, and now includes backend integrations that personalize the experience for each user.
